Frontline Dominion
Frontline Dominion asks you to think a few moves ahead. You build out a base, manage resources, and send units into skirmishes where positioning matters more than tapping fast. It's the slow-burn kind of strategy, and if that's your thing it's genuinely good.
The interface is where mobile strategy usually falls apart, and this one mostly gets it right. Dragging units around is clean, and the pinch-to-zoom on the map never fought me. The tutorial is a bit long, but once you're past it the game trusts you to figure things out.
It's not perfect. Some later missions lean on waiting timers that feel like filler. I turned off most notifications so the game stopped nagging me, and after that it settled into a nice rhythm. Battery use is moderate since the map is mostly static.
What we liked
- Clean touch controls for unit management
- Rewards planning over fast fingers
- Low battery drain outside of big battles
